Community Relations

Community Relations is the strategic development of mutually beneficial relationships with targeted communities toward the long term objective of building reputation and trust.

21st Century Fox is a supporter of the Ghetto Film School. The Ghetto Film School is a non-profit organization based in New York. There objective is to teach filmmaking to young people from low-income neighborhoods. With FOX's help the organization is expanding to Los Angles for the first time. The Co-COO of 21st Century Fox James Murdoch says "Its about giving them a sense of self and ambition of what they can accomplish."

Everyone has seen the television shows Glee and Modern Family. In both of these television shows gay rights and equality is very prominent. These shows have and impact of real life. Fox is a big supporter of LGBT community, especially in youth. Both Glee and Modern Family were honored for shaping Nation LGBT conversations. Fox's new show Empire, is also involved in gay activism.

There are several other aspects of Fox that show community relations. Fox has teamed about with DoSomething.org to help fight for arts education. The sports side of Fox is very important. #FoxSportsSupports is the charitable division of Fox Sports.

When there is a cause to be recognized, Fox is usually one to address it. There is a lot of support shown through there television shows and the impact that they have on everyday life which helps Fox with community relations, Fox Sports is a big section of community relations. It is very important for Fox to reach out to their community and show how they support causes and other relationships.
